10Mar10 I got a email scam from somebody pretending to be from paypal and asking for my password what happens to them?

So the first thing I did was foreward it to pay pal. but what i want to know is what happens to the scammers. do they track the email then send them to prison? And also did they target me cause they know i use paypal? Or is it just a random guess and they just hope the people have one?

10Mar10 “YAHOO INTERNET LOTTERY INC PROMOTION” is this a real Yahoo email I have received or is this a scam?

I recieved an email saying that I had won 300,000lbs euro in some “YAHOO INTERNET LOTTERY INC PROMOTION “,has anyone heard of this or know if this is a scam? They are asking for info that doesn’t seam too harmful however I do not want to wind up in a bad way either.

10Mar10 Does Yahoo carry enough spyware and spam protection that I don’t need to renew my AVG software?

I have AVG 7.5 internet security for 2 computers. The license is going to expire in a few days. Does yahoo have good enough security to just carry an antivirus program alone?

It says it is from Dr johnson Anderman and he is supposed to be the micrsoft promotion team president. Is this real?
